This talk will explore the concept of emergence with Artificial Intelligence Systems. The talk will discuss the nature of emergence and the roles strong and weak emergence play in AI. Recent advances in the domain of emergence will be covered.

Joseph Engler, PhD is a Principal Technical Fellow and the Chief Artificial Intelligence (AI) Scientist at Collins Aerospace. Dr. Engler is responsible for the direction of the Allison™ AI Lab including research and development, product generation, and AI services. Dr. Engler is the creator of Collins Aerospace Enterprise AI, named Allison™.
