Programmer Analyst/BI – Remote Eligible (Within Iowa)

IT-Administrative Information Systems

This position is eligible to be performed remotely within the state of Iowa. Employees who elect remote work must comply with the requirements of our remote work policy and agreement.

Impact & Responsibilities: Develops computer code from general specifications into language appropriate to the assignment; creates application programs of moderate to somewhat complex difficulty to meet user needs for central and/or distributed processes; develops and uses sample input data to test accuracy of program(s); consults with users or senior staff to define subsystem or program requirements; identifies programming and output needs; and reviews and analyzes system/program problems.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in an IT related field (an associate’s degree in an IT related field plus at least three years of IT related experience may be substituted); an understanding of administrative uses of computing services, working knowledge of SQL, knowledge or exposure to a relational DBMS, and course work or practical experience with modern programming languages.

Fall 2022 graduates will be considered. Degree must be conferred prior to start date. Student experience will also be considered.

Preferred: Experience with Oracle DBMS, Oracle PL/SQL, and Oracle Business Intelligence reporting experience; course work or practical experience with data warehouse modeling and construction.
