Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership for our client’s Sybase database environment
- Monitor capacity and performance levels and plan for patching activities, upgrades or changes to the system
- Configure and optimize the environment using best practices and recommendations
- Plan and provide oversight of monthly maintenance windows
- Support development team to recommend changes for performance improvement as per requirement
- Manage and maintain disaster recovery plans for Sybase databases
- Monitor performance of hardware and security logs
- Respond to escalations from the run and maintain team
- Be the point of contact for vendors related to hardware replacement and maintenance
Requirements:
- 10-15 years of experience with systems architecture, engineering and administration
- 5+ years of experience with Sybase databases as a Technical Lead
