Responsibilities:
- Ensure the performance, availability, and security of Oracle, MySQL, and MS SQL databases
- Act as lead DBA and lead all database upgrades and projects for Oracle and SQL
- Develop sustainable and modern database technologies, on premises and in-cloud based
- Control the database technologies used as well as create a future roadmap for all database technologies
- Handle orchestrating upgrades, backups, and provisioning of database instances
- Work in tandem with the other teams in the information technology division, preparing documentations and specifications as needed
- Train users on how to access the information in the database
- Find and debug malfunctioning programs affecting the database integrity
Requirements:
- Familiar with Oracle database design, coding, and documentation
- Knowledge of database backup procedures, recovery systems, and SQL
- Programming languages and API expertise
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient installing, configuring, maintaining, and upgrading Linux-based database servers and Oracle and SQL databases
- Experience with monitoring database capacity and performance
- Stored procedures, functions, triggers and packages experience
- Experience with Microsoft SQL server clusters and provisioning Microsoft SQL server instances
