Infrastructure Engineer (32104)

Palmer Group is continuing a partnership with a financial investment client in their search for an Infrastructure Engineer to join their Network Security Infrastructure team. This position will help build a world-class network automation and reporting environment. Ideal candidates for this position should have at least three years of related experience. Responsibilities:

  • Influence the modernization of the network security infrastructure by collaborating with internal clients, peers, and leadership
  • Help build a world-class network automation and reporting environment
  • Lead in establishing controls and ensure the system is secure and meets policy and regulatory requirements during development
  • Conduct analysis and development, requirements, coding, automated testing, debugging, designing, documentation, quality assurance review, implementation, and maintenance
  • Identify and eliminate technical debt
  • Participate in the technical design of features and attain expertise in more technical areas
  • Research new IT developments
  • Consult with business partners on future technology

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of related professional experience
  • Able to provide on-call support
  • Some travel may be required, including overnight stays
  • Scripting Linux operating system experience
  • Understanding of information security and best practices
  • Experience with Intrusion Prevention technologies, Packet Captures, Internet Proxy, Remote access technologies, and DDOS mitigation
  • Intermediate level of network skills, including switching, routing, and basic network troubleshooting
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
