Responsibilities:

  • Handle application security assessments and code review as part of the software development lifecycle
  • Develop, educate, promote, and monitor the use of secure software development practices
  • Work with developers to implement and refine security checkpoints in the SDLC
  • Develop secure coding standards that are based on industry-accepted best practices
  • Manage the application security scanning process
  • Implement and govern automated secure coding tools and processes
  • Perform security activities
  • Assist with periodic security risk assessments, IT security audits, and management reporting
  • Build, maintain, and enforce application security development policies, procedures, and standards

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of prior application security experience
  • Understanding of application vulnerability management and how it ties together with app development
  • 3+ years of experience serving in a cybersecurity department
  • Understanding of the clear differences with development with security in mind
  • Collaboration skills
