Matt Koch is the Chief Marketing Officer at Sukup Manufacturing Co. Sukup is the world’s largest family-owned and operated manufacturer of grain storage, drying, and handling equipment. Matt is 3rd generation family and started as an engineer with the company more than 17 years ago. He currently leads the sales and advertising departments and specializes in strategic management, new product campaigns, and customer experience.
Matt’s experiences include designing Sukup’s first-generation touch-panel control system; a product that established Sukup as the premier grain drying manufacturer in the world. His control systems and automation designs helped lead the company to Iowa’s 2018 Manufacturing Tech Company of the Year. Additionally, he is listed as a primary inventor on several of Sukup’s patents.
Hank Norem
Chief Innovation Officer
Sukup Manufacturing Co.
Hank Norem is the Chief Innovation Officer at Sukup Manufacturing Co., an innovative ag manufacturing company. In his capacity as CIO, Hank oversees Sukup Innovations, an entity that also includes Ramco Innovations, which specializes in industrial automation products and services. He also leads Maple Studios, a startup studio supporting early-stage industrial companies.
Hank serves as Chief Technology Officer and Chair of the Iowa Innovation Council, where he co-chairs the Advanced Manufacturing sub-group, which helped launch the Manufacturing 4.0 grant program. As a licensed CPA and graduate of UMKC’s MBA program, Hank combines his passion for studying and executing strategic business transactions with his financial expertise to drive technology developments throughout the Midwest.
