Speaker
Max Moldmann
Global Software Director | Flow Controls
Emerson

Max Moldmann, Software Engineering Director at Emerson, has lived with his wife and kids in Iowa since 2018. He is a Change Agent who, earlier in his career, already had a tremendous impact on Bosch and John Deere. At Bosch, he worked on their market-leading Electronic Control Units for car engines. He introduced the Git Version Control System in 2009, a new and faster SW Build system, and he initiated the use of Application Lifecycle Management systems. He was also part of a small group of engineers who convinced management to start the Agile Transformation of this largest automotive supplier with its 400,000 employees. At John Deere, he convinced the company to change course on its introduction of a new Embedded OS, which resulted in 2 – 4X higher development throughput for all the teams. He also invented a scalable company-wide Engineering Knowledge Base that quickly became the single largest source of truth.
