Venture Capital – Behind the Scenes
INNOVATION TRACK / DEEP DIVE / ROOM 309-310 / APR. 9 AT 11:20 AM
About this session

Venture Capital has become synonymous with the technology industry over the past couple of decades. That said, many in the tech industry don’t really know much about how it works. How do we decide who to invest in? How do we decide how much to invest? When we decide to invest, what are the mechanics, and how does this process differ from other forms of investment? In this session, Dave will give a behind-the-scenes look at the life of a venture capitalist and describe the terminology and tools of the trade. You will leave with a broader understanding of the venture capital industry and a deeper understanding of why it has been crucial to the rise of so many technology companies.
