Travis Hoover, the Senior Vice President, Chief Data Officer at Hy-Vee has boasted a remarkable career spanning over two decades in shaping and optimizing technological landscapes to foster business growth and innovation.
Travis’s journey with Hy-Vee began over 24 years ago when he started as a part-time employee at the Burlington stores. Rising through the ranks, he has held diverse roles, beginning as an IT intern during college. His career trajectory led him to spearhead significant initiatives, such as introducing Hy-Vee’s first virtualized infrastructure, implementing new Warehouse Management software across all distribution centers, as well as overseeing the development of the company’s first customer-facing mobile app.
In his current capacity, Travis played a pivotal role in the launch of Hy-Vee’s first enterprise data platform and contributed to establishing the company’s first offshore office in Bangalore, India. His academic pursuits include earning an associate of applied science degree from Southeastern Community College in 2003, studying management information systems at the University of Northern Iowa, and culminating in a Bachelor of Science in business leadership and management from Bellevue University in 2022.
Travis’s contributions have not gone unnoticed. He received the 2021 Hy-Vee Chairman’s Above and Beyond Award at Hy-Vee’s annual stockholder meeting, and in 2022, he was honored with the Progressive Grocer GenNext Award, recognizing outstanding talent in the food and consumables industry for individuals under 40. His appointment to the 2024 Hy-Vee Board of Directors is the most recent accomplishment, solidifying his influential role within the organization.
Kim Huffman is CIO at Workiva. As CIO, Kim ensures our technology capabilities empower our employees to deliver world-class products and services to our customers and partners. She oversees all aspects of Workiva’s Business Technology organization, including Business Systems, PMO, Architecture, Data & Integrations, Operations & Support.
Kim’s experience building and scaling technology organizations and leading business transformation spans over 20 years. She has a strong track record of delivering value through technology and process changes to enable companies to grow and scale. She has held several technical leadership roles during her career at pre-IPO and public tech companies, including SAP, Adobe, Health Equity and Elastic. Kim joins Workiva from Navan (formerly TripActions), an innovative SaaS platform for corporate travel and expense solutions where she served as CIO with responsibility for Business Technology, Data & Integrations and Security.
Kim received her Bachelor of Science in Finance & Business Administration from the University of Southern California and her MBA in International Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management. She is also a founding member of firstboard.io, an organization focused on increasing the representation of women on boards.
Linda Peyton is currently in the role of the Collins Aerospace Mission Systems Sr. Director of Engineering over the Resilient Navigation Solutions engineering organization. Linda has a long history in the development and management of Global Position Systems (GPS) / Global Navigation System Solutions (GNSS) related products and technologies, and in systems security related products and technologies. Linda’s is currently overseeing the integration, strategy and execution of several navigation related business portfolios into the newly formed Resilient Navigation Solutions business portfolio. The RNS engineering organization is made up of many engineering disciplines, inclusive of Systems, Security, Software, Electrical, Mechanical, and ASIC/FPGAs.
Maggie Modica, an alumna of the University of Illinois College of Business, is a Technology Product Manager at John Deere, leading the roadmap for the setup experience in the machines’ display software. Her role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams in embedded hardware, software, and cloud development, while also engaging with customers in the field to gain firsthand insights.
With a background in IT and Marketing, Maggie thrives at bridging the gap between customer needs and technical requirements to develop innovative business solutions. Her career at John Deere has been marked by a commitment to driving product visions through strategic discussions and collaboration, in addition to continuous personal development and passion for developing the next generation of women in tech. She holds an MBA from the University of Iowa – Tippie College of Business along with a Leadership Certification from that program.
