About this session

This session will cover the steps and strategies needed to establish a mature and efficient data and analytics organization. Brett and Ryan will discuss how Casey’s approached their journey to build a strong foundation, define roles and responsibilities, foster a data-driven culture, and implement effective processes. They will share this journey to highlight how it has positioned them for success and field any questions organizations have to make this an interactive session.

Brett Ellerbroek, Manager – Analytics COE, joined Casey’s in May 2022. As the leader of the Center of Excellence, Brett’s role is to advance Casey’s analytic strategy, build a culture around data-driven decision-making, and provide insights & centralized analytical capabilities alongside his team of talented analysts. Prior to Casey’s, Brett spent seven years at a Fortune 500 company in various roles, leading strategy to execution to advance data and analytic maturity on a global scale. Brett lives in the Des Moines area with his wife and seven-month-old; they enjoy traveling and the outdoors.

Ryan Fye
Director of Data Strategy
Casey's

Ryan Fye is the Director of Data Strategy at Casey’s, where he has held various data and analytics roles since 2016. In his current position, he is responsible for data and platform engineering, data architecture, and governance. Throughout his time at Casey’s, he has witnessed the organization’s growth and played a key role in scaling the team from 5 to 55 members.
