Brian Waller Appointed to Serve on the Empower Rural Iowa Initiative
Brian Waller, President of the Technology Association of Iowa, has been appointed by Governor Reynolds to serve on the Empower Rural Iowa Initiative effective until August 31, 2023.
Brian Waller is a graduate of Colorado State University. Before becoming President at TAI, Waller held such positions as Executive Director for the Des Moines Downtown Chamber of Commerce and Manager of Business Development for the Iowa Economic Development Authority.
Waller has a passion for his community and his home state of Iowa. His wife, Dr. Callie Waller, is a physician; they have a daughter Parker, and sons, Asher and Mayer. Waller is an avid golfer and musician passionate about laughing, life, faith, friends, and family.
“I am honored to serve on the Empower Rural Iowa Initiative and help shape the future of our state by supporting and advocating for rural communities and their leaders,” stated Waller.
In 2019, Governor Reynolds signed the Empower Rural Iowa Act, providing support to ensure vibrant rural communities today and for generations to come. The Empower Rural Iowa initiative focuses on growing, connecting, and investing in rural communities across the state.
