Aureon: Moving Business Forward

In business as in life, change is constant. And in an ever-evolving technology landscape, Aureon is continuously reinventing, evolving and pivoting to best position itself for growth and to be at the forefront of change.

For more than 30 years, Aureon has created a network of connections across the state, first through local
and long-distance voice service and then through data, video and broadband — the first of several
strategic changes for growth.

From Service Provider to Full Service
Since 2008, Aureon has continued to acquire and diversify. From the purchase of 11 businesses in
communications, technology and human resource management to the sale of Aureon HR and iWireless,
these changes have allowed the company to reposition itself as a service provider to a company that
offers a suite of reliable business solutions that include technology, consulting and contact center
services.

In terms of technology, the Aureon Fiber Optic Network consists of more than 3,800 miles of fiber
delivering industry-leading performance across Iowa and the Midwest. To ensure the next generation of
internet and cloud-based services are available across Iowa, Aureon has taken strategic steps to make
their network stronger, more secure and resilient. This strategy includes a $60 million investment in
infrastructure, fiber and network equipment, making it the largest fiber installation in Iowa.

Aureon Consulting provides expertise and experience to lead businesses through change, working with
teams through the life cycle of projects, managing operational risk and delivering bottom-line results.
From project consulting services, technical consulting services and IT staffing to procurement services,
Aureon Consulting continues to provide a full spectrum of business offerings.

To round out their offering, Aureon Contact Center provides exceptional experiences for your customers
through call center, technical support and lead management services. Allowing businesses to outsource
their technical support, product support and lead generation to Aureon Contact Center enables them to
focus on what they do best.

Moving Your Business, and Theirs, Forward
The latest change for Aureon came in June 2019 when telecommunications veteran Scott Behn joined as
CEO. With more than 30 years of experience in communications and technology across the Midwest,
Scott looks to better position Aureon as Iowa’s leader in advancing and evolving the industry.

Part of Scott’s plan for success is ensuring communities have access to the most reliable, high-speed
internet and network available, while also positioning Aureon as a leader in internet security offerings for
businesses across the state.

Engaging a team of highly experienced professionals, Scott looks to quickly adapt and face changes
head-on. By embracing change and its role in helping the industry advance, Aureon remains at the
forefront with the tools and technology needed to best service clients and shareholders.
Aureon has a history of flexing its business focus, whether through acquisition, divestiture or
organizational change, with a strong business model for managing through change. And one thing is
certain: many new and exciting opportunities lay ahead for Aureon.
