Technology Association of Iowa Hosts Annual Iowa Technology Summit Featuring Innovators from Across the State
Last week The Technology Association of Iowa (TAI) hosted its 6th annual Iowa Technology Summit bringing together technology leaders and innovators from across the state of Iowa to discuss cutting-edge issues and developments.
“It was so great to see the Iowa technology community come together for the first time in two and a half years,” said Brian Waller, President, The Technology Association of Iowa. “Iowa is on its way to becoming the number one state for technology in the Midwest because of events like this where we share knowledge and connect with one another.”
Each year the Iowa Technology Summit convenes creators and consumers of technology from startups to Fortune 500 companies representing a wide range of industries. This day-long event is designed by and for TAI’s members to share ideas and discuss how Iowa companies are addressing challenges and leveraging emerging technologies.
“The Iowa Technology Summit was a must attend event where Iowa’s best technology teams gathered together to discuss future technology trends and the needs of today in relationship to leadership, cybersecurity, innovation and industry,” said Jason Katcher, Vice President and CIO, ITA Group. “My team from ITA Group walked away with insightful ideas regarding AI, edge computing, DEI, talent engagement and many more. It was a great team building, networking and learning event.”
This year over 500 people attended the sold-out event, with participation from over 200 Iowa-based companies. Sixteen sessions at the event were hosted by TAI member companies including Amazon Web Services (AWS), F&G, ITA Group, John Deere ISG, Kingland, Merchants Bonding, Pearson, Principal Financial Group and Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield.
This year the event featured exhibitor booths creating an opportunity for TAI members to network and engage other partners across the state. The event also welcomed three new TAI company members from Co-op Solutions, Terrostar Interactive Media and Thales.
“If you’re looking for a great way to invest in your team and to connect with the Iowa technology community, look no further than The Iowa Technology Summit,” said Brad Rasmussen, Chief Information Officer, Merchants Bonding. “Technology is clearly leading Iowa businesses, and this event only reinforced the innovation and leadership being demonstrated across so many industries. With 16 sessions, four learning tracks, keynote presentations – there is something for everyone, making this the premier technology event in Iowa.”
This year also marked the 6th year of continued support from Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield as the Presenting Sponsor for the event which was also supported by 19 additional companies.
