DES MOINES, Iowa (June 15, 2026) — The Technology Association of Iowa (TAI) has announced the 2026 cohort of Iowa Tech Connect, a statewide initiative designed to support the growth, confidence, and connection of early-career technology professionals.
The six-month program helps participants build leadership skills, strengthen professional networks, and better understand the role of technology across Iowa’s economy. Through expert-led sessions, peer learning, and immersive experiences, Iowa Tech Connect gives emerging professionals a broader view of Iowa’s technology ecosystem and their place within it.
The 2026 cohort brings together 25 technology professionals representing a cross-section of industries and communities across the state.
“Iowa’s technology workforce is growing across every industry, and that growth depends on people who are prepared to lead, adapt, and build strong professional networks early in their careers,” said Brian Waller, President of TAI. “Iowa Tech Connect gives emerging tech professionals a stronger connection to the statewide tech community and helps employers invest in the next generation of talent. That matters for individual career growth, and it matters for Iowa’s long-term competitiveness.”
The program is made possible through the support of lead sponsors EMC Insurance Companies and the Ivy College of Business at Iowa State University. Their investment reflects a shared commitment to growing, retaining, and connecting technology talent in Iowa.
Iowa Tech Connect supports TAI’s mission to unite Iowa’s technology professionals and leaders by sharing resources, strengthening networks, and shaping the future of Iowa’s innovation economy. By investing in early-career talent, the program helps build the relationships, leadership capacity, and statewide connections that keep technology moving Iowa forward.
