TAI Partners with Iowa Economic Development Authority to Strengthen Iowa’s Tech Talent Pipeline
DES MOINES, Iowa (April 22, 2026) — The Technology Association of Iowa (TAI), in partnership with the Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA), today announced the launch of the Iowa Tech Talent Network, a new initiative designed to connect out-of-state technology professionals interested in relocating with Iowa employers hiring tech talent.
The Iowa Tech Talent Network is built to support Iowa’s growing demand for technology skills across every major industry. Candidates can submit an interest profile through a dedicated TAI landing page and prospective Iowans can also find it through thisisiowa.com, IEDA’s quality of life website. This initiative will make it easier for Iowa employers to identify and connect with qualified professionals who are open to new opportunities in the state.
IEDA is expanding on its talent attraction work by developing targeted marketing campaigns that reach professional audiences and highlight Iowa as a destination for career growth and quality of life. This initiative includes raising awareness with technology professionals considering relocation, as Iowa’s technology sector is projected to grow over the next decade and more professionals nationwide reassess where they live and work.
“Iowa’s technology economy is growing across every industry, and that growth depends on talent,” said Brian Waller, President of the Technology Association of Iowa. “The Iowa Tech Talent Network creates a clear, practical way for tech professionals to raise their hand and explore opportunities in Iowa, and for employers to connect with people who are genuinely open to making a move. It’s about strengthening our workforce and helping Iowa stay competitive for what’s next.”
“IEDA has elevated Iowa’s reputation as a place where people can build great careers and enjoy an unmatched quality of life,” said Debi Durham, Director of IEDA and the Iowa Finance Authority. “This initiative strengthens the partnerships that help us tell that story at a larger scale. When we connect talent to opportunity, we’re fueling growth for our communities, our employers and our state.”
Any TAI member organization can access the Iowa Tech Talent Network through the member portal at technologyiowa.org. Member employers will be able to search and filter candidate profiles by key criteria such as industry interest, skills, experience level, and location, and can contact candidates directly regarding potential opportunities.
