TAI Announces Partnerships Supporting Professional Development Programs

DES MOINES, Iowa (December 3, 2025) – The Technology Association of Iowa (TAI) today announced new and renewed partnerships that will support three cornerstone professional development programs: Iowa Technology Leadership Institute (ITLI), Iowa Tech Connect (ITC), and the TAI Alumni Network. These collaborations strengthen TAI’s work to develop Iowa’s technology workforce, from early-career professionals to senior leaders, and to deepen the statewide pipeline of future-ready talent.

“Professional development is core to building a resilient, competitive, and future-ready technology industry here in Iowa,” said Brian Waller, President of TAI. “These critical partners are doing more than supporting a program—they’re investing in people, leadership, and long-term growth for our growing and dynamic technology ecosystem.”

Program Partnerships

Iowa Technology Leadership Institute (ITLI)

ITLI equips rising technology leaders with advanced leadership skills, peer networks, and real-world exposure to executive decision-making. Support from the Principal® Financial Network helps expand access, enrich cohort programming, and accelerate leader readiness across industries.

Iowa Tech Connect (ITC)

ITC serves early-career technology professionals through cohort-based development, mentorship, and community building. Backing from EMC and the ISU Ivy College of Business supports skills development, practical learning, and stronger employer connections for emerging talent.

TAI Alumni Network

The Alumni Network connects graduates of TAI programs with ongoing opportunities to learn, collaborate, and lead. Support from these partners sustains a growing community of practitioners and leaders who share resources, exchange expertise, and drive impact across Iowa’s technology ecosystem.

These partnerships help TAI deliver high-value career development that meets employers where they are and helps professionals advance. They build leadership capacity for current and future C-level executives and senior technology executives; strengthen early-career pathways through mentorship, peer networks, and practical skills; and keep talent connected through a statewide alumni community that shares ideas and opportunities.
