Refreshed Identity, Reinforced Commitment: TAI Repositions for What’s Next in Iowa Tech

We’re proud to introduce a refreshed brand identity for the Technology Association of Iowa (TAI). But this isn’t just an evolved logo and colors. It’s a clearer reflection of who we are, what we stand for, and where we’re headed.

Why Now?

Our last brand refresh was in 2017. Since then, Iowa’s tech landscape has grown in complexity, speed, and scope. From the rise of AI to cross-sector innovation, our members continue to lead — and so must we. This brand evolution reflects the energy, maturity, and mission driving Iowa’s technology industry forward.

What’s at the Core?

This refresh is grounded in our updated Purpose, Mission, and Vision — developed through internal strategy and industry input:

Purpose: To uphold technology as the cornerstone of Iowa’s growth.

Mission: To unite our state’s technology professionals and leaders by sharing resources, strengthening networks, and shaping policy to drive innovation — for our members and all Iowans.

Vision: To make Iowa the standard for innovation, where technology is the core of every industry and powers the future of our state.

“This identity marks a new chapter — one that’s more aligned with the energy, ambition, and complexity of Iowa’s tech landscape,” said Nick Donovan, Vice President of Marketing and Communications. “It reflects a clearer commitment to the people and organizations shaping innovation and fueling growth across our state.”

Built to Reflect the Industry We Serve

Technology is no longer a standalone industry. It’s embedded in every aspect of Iowa’s economy — from agriculture and manufacturing to healthcare and finance. Our updated brand recognizes that. It’s built to elevate the voices, leaders, and innovations that drive cross-sector growth and opportunity.

“Technology is the cornerstone of Iowa’s growth—and the foundation every industry builds upon,” said Brian Waller, President of TAI. “This refreshed brand reflects the momentum of our members, the critical role they play in Iowa’s economy, and our vision to make Iowa a leader in talent, innovation, and opportunity.”

What’s Next

You’ll see our new brand show up across all touchpoints — from our website and digital publications to events, signage, and programming. We’ll continue to deliver high-impact talent initiatives like Iowa Tech Connect and ITLI, and stay laser focused on shaping the future of tech policy at the state and federal levels.

At the center of it all is connection — uniting technology professionals and leaders through collaboration, advocacy, and ideas that fuel Iowa’s growth.
