The Opportunity
The Lead People Technology Analyst will administer HR systems, with focus in the Workday platform, and their related processes to ensure effective enterprise operations.
Day in the Life
- Lead HCM (Workday) support including troubleshooting data and system issues, research configurations, identify and execute solutions, and implementing improvements and fixes in a timely fashion.
- Manage Workday for the HR team, ensure a clean tenant, maintain security permissions, and liaise between business units to assist on HCM questions or functionality.
- Evaluate current state of HR systems, then research, identify, and recommend improvements to enhance functionality, process efficiency, and user experience, whether through current system upgrades or new solutions.
- Partner with Vice President and Senior Vice President on initiatives aimed at ensuring quality, consistency, and integrity of HR data across all systems, as well as efficient execution of data and workflows and related business processes.
- Lead projects with SMEs in each area, and mentor/train less experienced analysts and users.
- Creates, edits, and enhances standard and ad hoc queries or reports. This may include analytical reporting as well as ad hoc and scheduled reports for metrics, compliance, and other HR data or company needs.
- Provide support to SMEs in each area and answering employee and manager help tickets in Workday.
- Lead SME for internal clients and external partners to solve problems and achieve/exceed the goals of our customers within the constraints of the business and system capabilities.
- Develop and maintain Workday functions, such as performance management, compensation, talent acquisition, benefits, and employee relations, as assigned; collaborate with COE subject matter experts across the Talent division, applying HCM expertise to determine best practice solutions for HCM operations.
- Serves as a project manager for HCM scheduled end to end releases and multi-functional system projects, configurations, and communicate priorities to be delivered (from analysis of release notes, configuration needs, setup of UAT scripts, communication to impacted stakeholders, etc.); perform fixes and solutions, and ensure new functionality works as expected. Test, solution, and certify integrity of automated solutions and programs.
- Lead and execute mid-sized HR projects/initiatives, from design through implementation phase, and provide project support on enterprise-wide projects/initiatives.
- Communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats and build effective relationships with all levels within the organization
- Make recommendations for operational design, design test plans, and design and maintain production support plans.
- Assist with formal RFP/RFI processes by communicating with COEs and application business owners to understand system needs and wants, documenting functional requirements, and partnering with People Technology leadership to draft RFP/RFI documents to distribute to vendors and collaborators.
- Develops, analyzes, streamlines, and documents new and existing HR business processes. Research and analyze data to recommend HRIS program direction, and design outcomes.
- Creates and maintains Dashboards and analytics within Workday.
- Supports technical needs for annual events such as merit, bonus, performance reviews, etc.
- Translate technical parameters into user-friendly terminology for HR clients
- Balance multiple projects, work in fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines

- Prepares and maintains end-user documentation or Workday training materials.
- Assists in maintenance and audits of all user accounts and security protocols.
- Provide support to SMEs in each area and answering employee and manager help tickets in Workday.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or a combination of education and experience in related field required.
- 7 years HRIS experience in a Workday environment or 10 years combination of HRIS/Workday and other areas of HR.
- Workday experience required with a minimum of 3 years in a senior level Workday role.
- Advanced troubleshooting and reconciliation capability
- Experience with complex reporting, data audits, configuring processes, and managing integrations.
- Experience with report writing, data audits, and process and integration understanding and processing.
- Ability to develop, sponsor, or support the introduction of new and improved methods, products, procedures, or technologies
- Ability to be flexible and work under high pressure in a complex environment
- Ability to apply sound judgment in making decisions in accordance with operational policies and practices of the organization
