IT- Administrative Information Systems

Assists with installation, configuration and patching of management and monitoring application software primarily on the Linux platform in support of UNI’s enterprise systems; works with vendors and staff to identify, obtain, and install application and system software patches as necessary for the administrative systems; conducts implementation of application revisions as directed; works with application development staff to ensure effective utilization of application software tools; works to ensure appropriate configuration of client tools and configurations; and assists in troubleshooting client/server problems related to administrative systems supported.

Bachelor’s degree in an IT related field required. Associates degree in an IT related field plus at least three years of IT experience may be substituted. Fall 2021 and Spring 2022 graduates will be considered. Degree must be conferred prior to start date. Experience with linux/unix operating systems required. Student experience will be considered. Experience supporting large Enterprise Resource Planning systems on a linux/Oracle platform; experience in SQL; an understanding of data security, integrity and consistency; and familiarity with backup, recovery, utilities, tuning, and performance monitoring preferred.
