ReFocus AI is hiring a Full Stack Developer. As a member of our newly-created engineering team, you are joining a company that is focused on increasing technology adoption of machine learning (ML) by engaging C-level executives, technology visionaries, and influencers at all seniority levels. As our first hire, you will work closely with the cofounders and eventually with additional teammates to build infrastructure, data pipelines, and web applications to support machine learning models for our clients’ sales teams of all sizes, from multinational insurance entities to Fortune 500 logistics companies. You will be part of a team that is focused on increasing technology adoption of machine learning (ML) by engaging C-level executives, technology visionaries, and influencers at all seniority levels.
Our target candidate possesses a strong web development background and has experience working with ML models in a productionalized setting. The ideal candidate also has a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the skill set to eventually lead development teams.
Please note that this is currently a part-time, primarily equity-compensated position with the potential to become full-time for the right candidate.

Responsibilities
Develop critical infrastructure that connects back-end technology, through APIs, to front-end user interfaces.
Deploy technology on AWS with minimal supervision.
Serve as an expert while engaging with other technology platforms and partner companies.
Make recommendations on behalf of the company’s technological requirements.
Keep abreast of new trends and best practices in the technology landscape.
Required Qualifications
Full-stack web development experience using Python and Javascript, with proven and demonstrable expertise in both. This is the core technical function of this position.
Experience deploying technologies on AWS using CI/CD.
Backend experience with relational databases, including POSTGRES, MySQL, and AWS RDS.
Frontend experience building modern web applications using frameworks such as NodeJS and ReactJS.
Backend experience building and maintaining REST-based APIs.
Explain and present technological and machine learning concepts to a broad technical audience.
Creative, collaborative, & product-focused
Education & Experience Possess a BS or MS candidate in Computer Science or Machine Learning, or a related degree.
Preferred Qualifications
2 years of experience with ETL platforms such as Mulesoft.
2 years of experience deploying machine learning models on AWS.
Past role with SCRUM or product owner responsibilities.
