Palmer Group is working with a client company who is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to help support the monitoring of Data Platform operational applications, measure new system metrics to maximize operational visibility, manage risk within the production environment, conduct retrospective post-mortem investigations, and increase scalability, performance, and resiliency of production applications. Responsibilities:
Build dashboards, monitoring solutions, and support tools for cloud applications
Possess extensive business application development skills
Create and manage application infrastructure in an automated fashion (Infrastructure as Code)
Pair daily with other developers
Practice Test Driven Development (TDD)
Manage and build distributed applications (Docker, Kubernetes, Mesosphere, Flink, Spark)
Requirements:
3-5 of cloud application development experience
Ability to understand complex architecture
Experience with one or more of the following:Amazon Web Services – specifically Kinesis streams
SNS topics
DynamoDB
Elastic Container Service (ECS)
Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS)
Elastic Beanstalk
