Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and define test scripts and test plans based on requirements
- Demonstrate skills in Object-Oriented Programming languages and automation testing techniques
- Refactor manual test cases to automated test scripts
- Execute tests and analyze outcomes to ensure new and updated applications meet or exceed quality standards and user requirements before released
- Recognize risks
- Maximize testing coverage and reduce testing cycle time
- Log, track, and verify resolution defects against requirement criteria
- Evaluate data and metrics used to measure the SDLC and identify gaps
- Contribute to product planning using Agile methodologies
- Ensure stories are complete, accurate, and ready to be developed
- Adhere to work intake, prioritization, change management, architecture governance, and other best practices
Requirements:
- 2+ years test engineer experience
- Able to effectively plan, schedule, and meet deadlines while managing multiple tasks
- Knowledge of testing methodologies that apply to Agile and iterative Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Understanding of all phases of software testing
- Experience using testing tools for technical testing
- Experience using automation tools, including scripting with an object-oriented language is preferred
- Knowledge of common testing methods, tools, testing types, terminology, and industry practices
- Strong problem solving, communication, and critical thinking skills
