Our global client is needing assistance with an abundance of work on their SAP R/3 and SAP S/4HANA database environment. This position will be a key member of the Database Engineering team that will be responsible for new builds, optimization, security hardening, upgrades and escalated support. We are recruiting senior level professionals that can hit the ground running with this large effort.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Hana DBA Lead with the new implementation of SAP S/4HANA and legacy support of SAP R/3 environment
- Support the team with various projects that include:
- Migrate legacy appliances to new hardware remotely (support from DC hardware team)
- Uplift project: support the OS team with an upgrade to Power9 system moving from AIX to Red Hat Linux
- Optimization and support of the newly implemented SAP S/4HANA environment
- Responsible for security hardening (following our client’s standards and best practices)
- ORT testing and validation
- Support the SAP development teams with R/3 requests
- Provide escalated support from the run and maintain team
Requirements:
- 10-15+ years of experience as a database administrator on the SAP platform
- Must have experience with either SAP R/3 or SAP S/4HANA database environments
