Palmer Group is currently recruiting professionals with an extensive business analysis background to be the newest addition to our client’s team. The Business Analyst position is a contract opportunity to serve as a project leader or team member on assigned projects. Responsibilities:

  • Act as the liaison for Insurance Operations and IT
  • Serve as a communication liaison between Ins Ops and IT
  • Serve as either a leader or team member on assigned projects
  • Identify system requirements, analyze processes/workflows, compile data, assess scope/risks, and implement solutions
  • Assist in the implementation of new business processes and system solutions including development of implementation plans including timelines and training needs
  • Mentor and guide less experienced team members
  • Design manual work processes due to lack of system capability by working with business area
  • Analyze business problems and develop creative solutions
  • Follow a logical process and present cost/benefit data and alternative solutions
  • Participate in various projects involving mass mailings, tax reporting, data cleanup activities, etc.

Requirements:

  • 2-4+ years of business analysis experience
  • Skilled at using Microsoft Office products
  • Experience with Project Management and Software Development Life Cycle methodologies (SDLC)
  • Experience in the financial services industry is a major plus
  • Experience with 3rd party software packages is preferred
  • Strong problem solving, communication, and conflict management skills
