Palmer Group is currently recruiting professionals with an extensive business analysis background to be the newest addition to our client’s team. The Business Analyst position is a contract opportunity to employ various business analysis techniques to create business and functional requirements. Responsibilities:

  • Understand business and system needs by facilitating and leading interviews with stakeholders
  • Translate needs into effective business and functional requirements documents
  • Employ various business analysis techniques to create business and functional requirements
  • Analyze business problems and recommend creative solutions
  • Support data gathering for business case and cost benefit analysis (CBA) documents
  • Facilitate, prioritize, propose, and document business process re-design
  • Partner with Quality Assurance
  • Identify and document testing considerations, develop traceability matrices, and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business areas
  • Prepare and present clear, concise, and timely communication
  • Participate in peer review sessions
  • Present business requirement documents
  • Mentors less experienced analysts

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4+ years of business analysis experience
  • Understanding of business analysis concepts
  • Proficient with Project Management and Software Development Life Cycle methodologies (SDLC)
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies
  • Experience working with reporting, policy data and data definitions
  • Skilled using Microsoft Office products (Excel, Access, Visio, Project, PowerPoint)
