Our local client has an exciting full-time opening for a Systems Security Engineer. This individual will administer, support, and monitor network security tools and services. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to assessing network risk, installing equipment and software, and implementing security systems. Responsibilities:

  • Implement security systems
  • Specify intrusion detection methodologies and equipment
  • Install and calibrate equipment and software
  • Prepare preventive and reactive measures
  • Provide technical support and superior customer service
  • Investigate all forms of malicious activity on the network
  • Maintain and improve security policies
  • Develop and maintain documentation using tools such as Visio and Microsoft Office
  • Administer and monitor network security equipment and systems

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in network or systems management with a focus on information security
  • Certified in a Technology Industry certification related to Cybersecurity
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Understanding of all aspects of computer, network, and physical security
  • Able to learn quickly and adapt to change
  • Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, and customer service skills
