We’re on the hunt for a Lead Data Scientist who will be responsible for building new analytical capabilities for the benefit of internal business partners and credit unions. Responsibilities:
- Understand existing processes and identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive solutions
- Provide oversight and guidance to other data science team members
- Improve products and processes by designing and building custom, AI-driven data models and algorithms
- Act as a cross-functional team member adhering to Agile principles and philosophies
- Interpret data analysis and model results for business and technical teams
- Coordinate with business and technical teams to monitor and implement models
- Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance
- Manage, monitor, and report risks
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, Quantitative Analyst, Statistician or similar role
- 5+ years of experience with open-source statistical programs (R/Python/Scala)
- 3+ years of experience with SQL and relational databases and exposure to cloud and big data technologies
- Skilled in being able to tell a story with data and visualizations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
