Responsibilities:

  • Respond to incidents, problems, and service requests
  • Manage departmental internal controls and regulatory issues
  • Mentor and support junior developers
  • Directly work with business partners to ensure solution requirements and quality are addressed quickly in the development cycle
  • Provide leadership on various application development initiatives
  • Provide tactical support for project management
  • Maintain existing enterprise applications using preferred technologies
  • Provide application analysis and support for vendor developed applications

Requirements:

  • Excellent development skills in technologies such as Java, SQL, JavaScript
  • 2+ years of financial services industry experience
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles and patterns, application architecture, and the software development lifecycle
  • Experience with automated test, build, and integration techniques
  • Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, log4j, JUnit, Mockito
  • 3+ years of experience with version control tools such as Git and TFS
  • Agile methodologies and principles experience
  • Knowledge of developing visualizations
  • Knowledge of reporting and analytics using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
  • Strong problem-solving and communications skill
