Responsibilities:
- Respond to incidents, problems, and service requests
- Manage departmental internal controls and regulatory issues
- Mentor and support junior developers
- Directly work with business partners to ensure solution requirements and quality are addressed quickly in the development cycle
- Provide leadership on various application development initiatives
- Provide tactical support for project management
- Maintain existing enterprise applications using preferred technologies
- Provide application analysis and support for vendor developed applications
Requirements:
- Excellent development skills in technologies such as Java, SQL, JavaScript
- 2+ years of financial services industry experience
- Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles and patterns, application architecture, and the software development lifecycle
- Experience with automated test, build, and integration techniques
- Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, log4j, JUnit, Mockito
- 3+ years of experience with version control tools such as Git and TFS
- Agile methodologies and principles experience
- Knowledge of developing visualizations
- Knowledge of reporting and analytics using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- Strong problem-solving and communications skill
