Responsibilities:
- Work with technical teams and management to devise information strategy and roadmaps for the management of data
- Support, guide and develop data models and solutions for the enterprise data warehouse, enterprise reporting, applications and other data-related initiatives
- Integrate technical functionality such as scalability, security, performance, recovery, reliability, etc.
- Produce data architecture standards and policies guiding data development, business intelligence and report development
- Review solution architectures and designs for adherence to applicable standards and policies
- Manage data architecture artifacts to keep them current, accurate, relevant and accessible
- Effectively advise and direct data team members and application developers on data development practices, report development, and business intelligence efforts to align with data architecture standards, policies and procedures
- Conduct code reviews for data development, reporting and business intelligence development
- Research, identify, and evaluate current and upcoming data management and development technologies
Requirements:
- 10 years of system design and development experience in data-related positions
- 2 years of experience supporting business functions in a financial services environment
- Working knowledge of both Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases and related technologies
- Must be analytical and results-driven
- Thorough understanding of database design principles, practices and the systems development life cycle
- Effective at applying disciplined test practices
- Expert at change and configuration management
- Working knowledge of financial instruments and understanding of accounting concepts
- Excellent interpersonal, creative, technical leadership, and communication skills
