Hardware/Technical Support Specialist (44940)

Our insurance client in downtown Des Moines is seeking a Hardware/Technical Support Specialist for a long-term contract position. In this role, you will support the implementation of technology while delivering excellent customer service to business partners.

Work Model:
– On-Site

What You Will Do:
– Contribute to the support and implementation of both new and existing technology
– Deliver outstanding customer service by responding to emails, calls, and instant messages from business partners
– Interact directly with business partners to identify, research, create solutions, document information, and resolve problems
– Research solutions to problems within a fast-paced setting
– Explain technical concepts to stakeholders clearly, and communicate business goals to technical teams within the organization
– Provide user training and education while implementing preventative technical measures as needed

What You Will Need to Be Successful:
– Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technology, math, engineering, or science-related field, or equivalent experience
– An applicable internship or experience in IT support, IT customer service, or IT troubleshooting (preferred)
– Ability to utilize an engineering‑driven approach with strong root‑cause analysis skills and end‑to‑end ownership of problems
– Outstanding conceptual, problem-solving, organizational, decision-making, planning, communication, time-management, and analytical skills
