Palmer Group has an exciting contract opportunity for you in the Des Moines area! We have partnered with this prevalent and reputable client to fill the Desktop Support Technician role. In this position, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing problems, assisting with user inquiries, and documenting and escalating issues as needed. You will also complete new hire setups, reimage computers, and set up computers and monitors at different workstations. Responsibilities:
Act as the main contact for team members and business users to resolve any reported issues, ensuring documentation and escalation processes are followed
Perform root cause analysis while supporting the end-user computer environment
Assist in creating use test scripts to test new software releases
Handle escalations for the IT support team, troubleshooting and analyzing complex issues
Ensure the integrity and security of enterprise data on systems and platforms
Requirements:
3+ years of desktop support experience, including knowledge of SCCM
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, analyze, and evaluate problems
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively within the support team and across the organization
CompTIA A+ Certification is a plus
