As the leading nonprofit organization in Iowa dedicated to economic development, MDC Iowa’s programs support startup and second-stage businesses with coaching, mentoring, microfinancing, and technical assistance. As part of the exciting growth since the launch of our INCUBATE business accelerator program in 2019, we are adding to our existing team of talented business support specialists.
As a full-time Associate Business Coach, you will be responsible for providing direct support and guidance to new and existing businesses receiving assistance from MDC Iowa and affiliate organizations. Your daily duties will include, but are not limited to, conducting virtual and in-person one-on-one coaching sessions, attending professional networking events and public hearings, meeting with local community partners, and supporting MDC Iowa’s microlending center/group meetings. Additionally, you will represent MDC Iowa in a professional capacity, interacting with the community to promote our mission and values.
