Linux Automation Engineer (46710)

Des Moines-based Insurance company is looking for a Linux Automation Engineer for a potential contract-to-hire position. As an Infrastructure Engineer on the Distributed Hosting Linux server team, you’ll provide strategic support and execution of organizational initiatives across our global landscape. In addition, you will collaborate with internal clients, peers, and leadership to support the modernization of our hybrid hosting strategy. If interested, apply today!

Work model:

  • Hybrid

What you will do:

  • Balance project and service delivery/operations work
  • Building and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure Linux server hosting solutions
    • This includes Linux systems administration, automation, and scripting in a hybrid on-prem/cloud environment
  • Work in operations, including working on support requests for internal customer
  • Participate in an on-call rotation 5 days per week
  • Collaborate with team members and other teams
  • Create and update process documentation

What you will need to be successful:

  • AWS
  • Terraform
  • Linux
  • Nice to Have – AWS CDK, Ansible, Red Hat Enterprise Linux
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and industry best practices (CIS, NIST, etc.)
