As the IT Infrastructure Intern, you’ll dive headfirst into an exhilarating project focused on enhancing observability within our infrastructure. You’ll work alongside seasoned experts, gaining hands-on experience and invaluable insights into the inner workings of our technology landscape. At Homesteaders Life, we have a structured ten-week internship program where we pair you with a mentor and end the summer with a presentation to our executive leadership team. Summer internships are located in West Des Moines, Iowa.
This is how you’ll spend your days!
- Collaborate with our talented team to identify areas for improvement in observability.
- Dive into the depths of data to analyze system performance and identify.
- Research, compare, and implement cutting-edge tools and technologies to enhance monitoring and alerting capabilities.
- Develop dashboards and visualizations to provide real-time insights into system health.
- Document your findings and share your knowledge with the team to foster a culture of learning and growth.
Requirements - Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology or a related field.
- Passion for infrastructure and a strong desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Windows Server, networking concepts, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Basic understanding of monitoring tools such as SolarWinds Orion a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
