Director, Application Delivery

As a Director of our Application Delivery Team, you will guide a talented team dedicated to delivering exceptional software products and business solutions for Homesteaders Life. You will bring your past hands-on development skills to this team, as well as your comprehensive technical knowledge of system and application architecture. In the role, you will direct the change and R&D initiatives, while maintaining and in-depth knowledge of the organization’s future goals in an evolving technological landscape.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field of study such as: management information, computer science, information technology, or business with emphasis in information technology. Associates degree with applicable experience will be given subjective weight.
  • A minimum of 8 years of progressive, applicable experience working with application development tools and processes.
  • A minimum of 5 years .NET framework experience
  • A minimum of 3 years experience utilizing SQL Server
  • A minimum of 3 years of people leadership responsibilities. Either direct or indirect through project / technical leadership activities.
  • Experience with CI/CD products such as Azure Pipelines a plus.
  • Thorough understanding of systems development methodology best practices.
    Knowledge of agile methodologies, techniques, and tools; minimum of two years agile experience, experience with agile transformations a plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership in project delivery including excellent inter-personal and team-building skills and organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical skill demonstrated by the ability to analyze situations, information, and data and identifies and evaluates short-term and long-range needs and priorities. Exercises independent judgment to solve problems, to devise new methods, and to adopt procedures in order to meet changing technology and business needs.
