Help Desk Specialist II

Under the general direction of the ITS Operations Manager, performs Tier 2 (specialized, mission-critical help desk support) and some Tier 1 (routine help desk support) desktop, laptop, operating system, software, M365, telephony, basic networking and mobile offices support of City entities (Fire, Police Department, Library and other City departments).  Will perform some system administration as well as overseeing some IT help desk processes such as: PC refresh, asset tracking, and recycling.

High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate’s degree in technology related field preferred.

5 years of help desk or admin support work in an ITS function, general office work with technical support duties or progressively increasing experience in PC hardware and software applications.

Proficient in one or more of the following functional areas: server infrastructure and administration, network and telephony infrastructure administration, or enterprise-level workstation support and administration.

Proficiency with Microsoft Windows operating systems required.
