Software Engineer I – Microsoft 365 Developer

This is your opportunity to work for a local employer of choice.  CFU is currently recruiting for a full-time Software Engineer to join our Information Systems team to assist in the support and development of applications and database systems for enterprise and departmental level environments along with end-user support.  Applicants must have experience in application programming and working with database SQL.  Knowledge in JavaScript, HTML/CSS, React and Microsoft 365 development.

Compensation & Benefits

Salaried, FLSA exempt position.  Starting wage is based upon individual qualifications.  Pay Range is $61,880 – $84,864
Typical work schedule is Monday-Friday 7:30am – 4:30pm with an hour lunch.
Remote work is available, position does require on-site presence.

Responsibilities
This position has access to confidential information, therefore must abide by Cyber Security policies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Assists in administration and monitoring of critical information systems including database management, application development, interfaces, workflows and web services.

Provides hands on coding between 20-30% depending on the size of the project.

Works closely with Systems Analysts as needed to respond to end-user support and enhancement requests.

Leads projects as assigned by Information Systems Manager during systems implementations, migrations, upgrades and patching. This includes working with and assisting third party consultants and contractors on such projects.

Assesses and monitors technology changes to the systems they are responsible for then seeks out cost effective resources to enhance their own skills and knowledge of those systems.

Provides input to Senior Software Engineer for strategic and budget planning for the systems they are responsible.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge:  General working knowledge of the following: SQL, JavaScript, React, HTML/CSS, XML, XLST, XPATH, Windows and Unix command functions, and specific working knowledge of Java, and/or Microsoft 365 development languages.

Abilities:  Ability to achieve results through team involvement and commitment; operate computer system(s) and related equipment as required; make advanced analytical decisions; advanced planning and organizational skills; advanced application diagnostic skills; understand needs of end users; proficient communication, team and human relations skills; motivate and lead people.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or equivalent programming experience.

Experience:  One (1) year working in a technical capacity in information systems that included application development and administration and/or database management and/or implementation and administration of web services. Experience with Oracle PL/SQL preferred.  Knowledge with the following technologies and libraries preferred: Microsoft Power Platform, Bit versioning control, Spring Boot, NodeJS, Apache Kafka, OAuth 2.0, PHP.

Certifications/License: Oracle/Microsoft certifications preferred.
