Speakers

Collin Ellis

Executive Director of Information Technology
Musco Lighting

Collin Ellis is the Executive Director of Information Technology at Musco Lighting, where he leads IT operations and business systems supporting a global organization. Since joining Musco in 2022, Collin has drawn on more than 27 years of IT leadership experience to help align technology strategy with business outcomes.

Before Musco, Collin held senior IT roles at Summit Midstream Partners and Spectra Energy, building deep expertise across complex enterprise environments and large-scale operations.

Collin serves on the board of directors for the Technology Association of Iowa and is an active advocate for technology leadership and collaboration across the state.

He holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences from the University of North Texas and completed technical training and certification through Southern Methodist University’s School of Engineering.

Musco Lighting employs more than 2,000 team members worldwide, with lighting solutions installed in over 125 countries—from neighborhood fields to major stadiums, international airports, iconic landmarks, and Olympic venues.

Ryan Schaap

Chief Information Officer
Wells Enterprises, Inc.

Ryan Schaap is an Iowa technology leader with almost 30 years of experience in systems, cybersecurity, and merger and acquisition integrations. Ryan joined Wells Enterprises in March 2015 as the Chief Information Officer. Prior to Wells, Ryan spent most of his career working in the energy industry. He worked for MidAmerican Energy and Berkshire Hathaway Energy served as their VP-IT.

Ryan is a member of the senior leadership team at Wells and heads all of the technology organization including infrastructure, applications and cybersecurity. He also directs the Wells Shared Services team which includes many of the financial processing functions and the robotic process automation group. Ryan serves as a strategic leader who helps drive the company’s efforts related to market growth and operational efficiency.

Ryan currently serves on several community boards, including membership on the Board of Directors for the Technology Association of Iowa where he is a past Board Chair. Ryan also serves on advisory boards for several other technology services organizations. He serves as the Executive Director for the PlyWood Trail development project in Northwest Iowa. Ryan received his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Management Information Systems from Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa.

Travis Turnbull

Vice President & CIO
Pella Corporation

Travis has served as Division Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Pella Corporation since January 2019. He is responsible for enterprise applications, analytics, infrastructure, and information security, with a focus on leveraging technology to deliver business outcomes.

Since joining Pella Corporation in 1998, Travis has held multiple leadership roles across Information Technology, including Director of Order Acquisition and Data Management. A graduate of Central College in Pella, Iowa, he holds a BA in Management and Information Systems and brings a practitioner’s perspective on developing talent, advancing innovation, and aligning technology strategy with business needs.

In addition to his corporate leadership, Travis serves on the board of the Technology Association of Iowa and the Pella Regional Health Center, contributing his experience to support technology leadership and community impact across the state.
