The primary obstacle to supply chain resilience in 2026 is no longer a lack of technology; it is the maturity gap created when procurement, risk, and execution data remain siloed across the enterprise. Many organizations continue to pay a hidden “silo tax,” limiting their ability to anticipate disruption, respond quickly, and translate insight into action.
While the industry is moving toward more autonomous and adaptive operating models enabled by analytics and AI, the reality for most organizations is far more fragmented. Despite years of digital procurement investment, many remain stalled in manual workarounds, reactive firefighting, and disconnected decision-making.
This session deconstructs the global procurement maturity curve to explain why progress often stalls and what differentiates organizations that successfully enable resilience. Framed through an implementation-led lens, the discussion highlights procurement’s role as the connective function between strategy and execution, i.e., linking sourcing decisions, supplier risk, and operational outcomes.
The session also explores how disciplined adoption of digital platforms and AI, supported by strong data and governance foundations, can help organizations close the maturity gap without over-reliance on hype-driven claims of full autonomy. Interactive audience moments will invite participants to reflect on their own maturity gaps and identify the boundaries that hold back their procurement organizations.
