Jeremy Kauten has spent his entire career in the cyber world. He currently focuses on protecting computers, networks, programs, and data from unauthorized access, change, or destruction. In addition, he coordinates the optimization of technology throughout VGM’s business units. Jeremy’s involvement at VGM started in 1997, when he committed himself to growing VGM Forbin and positioning the organization as a leader in healthcare web development and online security. He is a regular contributor to the trade press and is a frequent technology speaker at industry events.
Jeremy earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and business management from Upper Iowa University with additional credits from the computer information systems program at the University of Northern Iowa. He also holds an A.A.S. in law enforcement and an M.B.A. from the University of Iowa Executive Master of Business Administration Program.
Joanna Longwe is a dedicated Software Developer on the Corporate IT team at VGM Group, Inc. She specializes in enhancing efficiency and solving business problems across VGM’s various divisions. Joanna is proficient in both backend and frontend development, primarily working with the .NET stack, and has experience with technologies such as C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript, and SQL.
Joanna’s journey at VGM Group, Inc started when she was a junior in college and got the chance to be a Software Development Intern for the summer. After the summer, this internship continued through her senior year until she started full time after graduating.
Joanna graduated from Wartburg College with a degree in Computer Science and a minor in Data Analytics. Joanna is also a graduate of the 2024 cohort of Iowa Tech Connect hosted by the Technology Association of Iowa.
Tera O’Hare currently serves as Senior Vice President of Systems at VGM Insurance, where she leads a dynamic team in driving strategic initiatives and enhancing operational efficiencies. Tera has played a critical role in VGM’s success since joining in 2010 as a billing manager. Since then, Tera has held leadership roles of increasing responsibility including, Vice President of Finance and Senior Vice President of HOMELINK before transitioning to VGM Insurance. With a strong background in systems management and a passion for innovation, Tera has been instrumental in implementing cutting-edge technologies that streamline processes and improve customer experiences. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Business Administration and later went on to receive her master’s in business administration with an emphasis in accounting. Tera served for 3 years on the board of the YWCA and currently serves as the President for Project Graduation. Tera lives in Waverly with her husband, Dusty, of 19 years, their two children, Kellen (16) and Finley (11), and two cat, Kurt and Baby Kitty.
Andrew Wirth is the Senior Software Architect at VGM Homelink, a leading company in the healthcare industry, providing ancillary services to patients nationwide. He leads the development team in creating and maintaining proprietary internal software and facilitating seamless data transfers through integrations with third-party systems.
Andrew began his career at Collective Data in Cedar Rapids, where he specialized in web development for over three years. He then joined VGM Homelink and has since been instrumental in advancing the company through various automation projects, leveraging technology to enhance operational efficiency. He earned his Computer Science degree at Coe College in Cedar Rapids.
Andrew resides in Cedar Falls with his wife, Chloe, and labradoodle, Tucker. They enjoy spending quality time with friends and family, especially during summer outings at the lake.
