Iowa Data Center Summit Set for October 2: Convening Critical Conversations on Tech Infrastructure, Energy, and Growth

As Iowa’s technology economy evolves and demand accelerates in the age of AI, so too does the conversation around the infrastructure powering it.

On Thursday, October 2, the Technology Association of Iowa (TAI) will host the Iowa Data Center Summit—a gathering of industry leaders, policymakers, and community stakeholders focused on the future of data centers in the state.

This timely event comes at a pivotal moment. Iowa has emerged as a key player in data center development, with increasing interest from global technology firms and renewed discussions about workforce, energy, land use, and long-term economic impact.

The TAI Iowa Data Center Summit is designed to provide a neutral platform for shared insight and informed dialogue. Across a full day of panels and speakers, participants will explore the opportunities and challenges shaping Iowa’s future—from sustainability and grid capacity to zoning, infrastructure investment, and talent pipelines.
