Why Digital Ethics?
Analytics Leadership Forum of Iowa

Should computing professionals care about digital ethics? From the point of view of academia, there is a growing shift to include digital ethics in the curriculum for computer science, data analytics, and artificial intelligence programs.

Speaker: Chris Porter, Director of Artificial Intelligence Program and an Associate Professor of Computer Science at Drake University, will address the following questions while providing a high-level overview of the field of digital ethics.

Learn:
– How has this shift better equipped students to address ethical challenges that arise from computing practice?
– More broadly, what benefits are there for computing professionals to supplement their technical background with training in digital ethics?
– Finally, narrowing in on the field of AI, how does an understanding of digital ethics inform work on responsible AI?*RSVP required to attend
