As AI becomes embedded across industries, the conversation is shifting rapidly from experimentation to real-world impact. On Wednesday, February 4, TAI will host the AI Public Policy Forum & Legislative Reception, convening lawmakers, technology leaders, AI practitioners, and community partners to explore three priorities shaping Iowa’s competitiveness: state policy trends, workforce implications, and the infrastructure demands accelerating alongside AI growth.
The forum is designed to build shared understanding and practical dialogue across sectors. Iowa employers are deploying AI now, while states are working to enable progress, reduce risk, and ensure Iowans benefit from what comes next. At the same time, AI-driven demand is increasing the need for digital infrastructure, including data centers, raising important questions around meeting demand, capacity, and long-term planning.
Moderated by Brian Waller, President of TAI, the panel will feature Joe Riesberg (SVP & CIO, EMC Insurance Companies), Jennifer G. Young (CEO, Technology Councils of North America), and Clay Allsop (Manager, Regional Data Centers, Google).
A reception will follow the forum, offering time to continue the conversation, build connections, and learn more about TAI’s 2026 policy initiatives. Drinks and hors d’oeuvres provided.
