New! Event e-blast: Discover learning and networking opportunities with TAI’s timely e-blasts, featuring highlights of tech industry programs and events sponsored by TAI, our partners and other technology groups.

Expanded! Tech Connect Directory: This industry guide provides comprehensive information on the products and services of TAI’s member companies, as well as the broad range of professional service firms that support them. It connects the users of technology to the creators of technology solutions, and is a valuable tool for facilitating cross-company ventures. The directory is available online and will be published annually in hard copy.

New in fall 2005! Business 2 Business: If you need a technology solution, look here first! In fall 2005 TAI will launch an online commerce program to connect companies searching for technology solutions with Iowa tech companies that have the expertise to address those solutions. Business will be able to electronically transmit their Request for Help or Request for Proposal (RFP).

New in fall 2005! Member 2 Member Bulletin Board: TAI will also provide a place for members to go to for partnerships, ideas, solutions and opportunities with other members. On our M2M Bulletin Board members will also be able to pool information on issues and solutions and provide member access to that information.

New! Tech Sector Snapshot Survey (TS3): TAI conducts quarterly surveys to stay on top of trends and issues important to Iowa’s tech community and its member companies. Results are published on our website and in our newsletter, and may lead to action or advocacy initiatives.

Annual Membership Survey: As a member-driven organization, TAI conducts a comprehensive survey once a year to assess our performance and to set the strategic direction for the next year. Survey results are summarized on our website and in our newsletter.

Senior Executive Roundtables: Invitation-only roundtables bring together CEOs, presidents and other senior executives with their peers to discuss timely issues of common concern and interest and peer-driven problem solving. Each year, we’ll host eight monthly meetings for member-companies-only to create their own informal leadership networks for guidance, advice and support from peers.

New! Iowa Superhighway Tours: TAI works with community partners each fall to host eight tech sector roundtables around the state (Ames, Cedar Falls/Waterloo, Clear Lake/ Mason City, Council Bluffs/Sioux City, Davenport, Des Moines, Dubuque, Iowa City/Cedar Falls). These meetings will facilitate discussion and create public awareness of the IT industry trends in the area. They provide a forum for industry leaders to discuss with public sector leaders what drives the IT economy.

New! Tech Legal and Finance Clinics: This speaker and panel series provides tech company leaders with practical, in-depth information on best practices for well-planned growth. We’ll present legal and financial experts to advise various stages of business.

Public Policy Program: TAI’s Government Affairs Committee includes a lobbyist and interested individuals from TAI member companies. This group of engaged TAI members crafts our annual Legislative Agenda and aids TAI on grassroots policy efforts. It also plans special events with key State and Federal Legislators and sponsors.

New! Legislative eReport: Distributed weekly during the legislative session, the Legislative eReport provides you with the status of policy issues impacting Iowa’s technology industry and updates on other policy developments from Capitol Hill.

Legislative Reception: TAI’s popular annual gathering brings members of the Iowa State Legislature together with members of TAI. This event provides an opportunity for member companies to share information with policy makers and discuss timely issues important to them and the tech industry.

Expanded! Powered by Iowa Technology Awards Gala: Technology and business leaders come together from across the state to recognize the year's principal technology achievements and to celebrate Iowa innovation and recognize award finalists and recipients - the best and brightest of Iowa’s diverse tech-based economy. This event caps an afternoon technology Summit held at the Science Center of Iowa.

New! Annual Summer Technology Conference: New for Summer 2006 this “must attend” conference will be the premier event in Iowa for technology business development. It will include a keynote speaker, panels and parallel tracks. It will also provide a venue for learning, establishing potential strategic alliances and business development.
