Rebecca Boyd Dublinske is a shareholder with the Des Moines-based law firm of Dickinson, Mackaman, Tyler & Hagen, P.C. She is a member of the firm’s Employment and Labor Law Group, one of only three such practice groups in Iowa to earn their firm a “Band 1” ranking in the Labor & Employment area in the most recent edition of Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business. Rebecca regularly speaks and writes on employment law topics including retaliation claims, non-compete and confidentiality agreements, and wage and hour issues. She is a Fellow of the prestigious Litigation Counsel of America™ and belongs to the Defense Research Institute, the Society for Human Resource Management, and the Litigation and Employment Law Sections of the Iowa State and American Bar Associations. Rebecca is an honors graduate of the University of Iowa College of Law and a former judicial law clerk. |

Danielle Dixon Smid is a member of BrownWinick and is actively involved in the firm's securities, employment, renewable fuels and business and corporate practice areas. Danielle's employment practice includes counseling employers on hiring, discipline, termination, drug-testing, discrimination and harassment issues, compensation, union avoidance and personnel policies. Danielle conducts management and personnel training concerning personnel issues and has served as an investigator for clients regarding discrimination and harassment allegations. Danielle has appeared in front of numerous administrative agencies such as Iowa Workforce Development and Iowa Civil Rights Commission as well as state and federal courts on behalf of clients. In addition, Danielle has represented clients in employment related mediations and arbitrations. Danielle is a frequent speaker on employment related issues for clients, human resources and other professionals and has written several articles in regard to the same. Danielle assists clients in obtaining equity through private placements, state registrations and publicly registered offerings with simultaneous multi-state registrations. Danielle oversees and assists clients on all aspects of various renewable fuels project development from inception through start-up of plant operations, including organizational issues, contract negotiations, and corporate governance. This includes guiding clients on issues related to organizational structure, debt financing, construction, marketing and procurement. In addition, Danielle advises and assists clients on matters relating to Securities and Exchange Commission reporting and regulation, corporate governance, Sarbanes-Oxley and state blue-sky laws. Danielle received her B.S. from Iowa State University in 1995 and her J.D., with honors, from Drake University in 1998. She was admitted to the bar in Iowa, United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Iowa and the United States Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals in 1998. She is a member of the Iowa State, American (Member, Business Law Section and Labor and Employment Section) and Polk County Bar Associations. |
